INFORM (International Network for Online Resources and Materials) provides onsite training in low- and middle-income countries regarding free, high-quality information accessible through WWW. Depending on the setting and topic, the training may be designed for researchers, students, university teachers, clinicians, programme officers, or information specialists and librarians. The programme also provides information training within Sweden for foreign master’s and doctoral students, as well as participants in various Sida-suported International Training Programmes.
INFORM’s initial purpose was to provide information training in the health sector, and it continues to run health information workshops, usually focused on public health, reproductive health, maternal-and-child health, infectious diseases, or other topics of particular relevance to developing countries.
In addition, INFORM provides training workshops on a range of other topics, including agriculture, development, international law, human rights, mathematics, and the natural sciences.
